The ideal candidate will accurately estimate project costs, manage material procurement, and support both the sales and project management teams throughout the bidding and construction process.</p><h3><br></h3><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><h4><strong>Estimation and Bidding</strong></h4><ul><li>Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for residential construction projects.</li><li>Develop and submit competitive bids, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and deadlines are met.</li><li>Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotes and assess pricing for materials and labor.</li><li>Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and competitor pricing to improve bid competitiveness.</li><li>Assist project managers in developing and maintaining project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accuracy.</li><li>Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and supporting documentation for reference and audits.</li><li>Communicate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project specifications and address questions or concerns.</li></ul><h4><strong>Purchasing and Procurement</strong></h4><ul><li>Oversee the purchasing process for materials and supplies needed for residential construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.</li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating pricing and terms to secure favorable agreements.</li><li>Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery of materials to job sites.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of supplies to prevent project delays.</li><li>Stay up to date on pricing, new materials, and market trends to support informed purchasing decisions.</li><li>Work closely with project managers and estimators to align purchasing strategies with project needs.</li><li>Maintain organized records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications for compliance and audit purposes.</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Proven experience as an <strong>Estimator</strong> and/or <strong>Purchasing Coordinator</strong> in the residential construction industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of <strong>construction methods</strong>, materials, and local building codes.</li><li>Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.</li><li>Proficiency with <strong>estimating software</strong> and <strong>Microsoft Office Suite</strong>.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><h3><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>$50,000-$70,000/year depending on experience</strong></li><li>Opportunities for <strong>professional growth</strong> and advancement.</li><li><strong>Collaborative team environment</strong>.</li><li><strong>Health</strong>, <strong>Dental</strong>, and <strong>Vision</strong> insurance.</li></ul>
